Sally D. Stabb, Ph.D., is an associate professor of Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman's University. She obtained her doctorate from the University of Kansas in 1988, following an internship at Duke University. Dr. Stabb also has a M.Ed. degree in Secondary School Guidance and a B.A. degree in Psychology, both from Penn State University. She is a licensed psychologist with clinical and research interests in couples therapy/relationships, emotion, diversity, and qualitative methods. Dr. Stabb has co-authored two books, including the recent release "The Anger Advantage." She has additionally produced two edited books, written five book chapters and over a dozen articles, has presented at over 30 state and national conferences, and has directed the research of more than 60 graduate students.

When not pursuing her academic work, she enjoys both foreign and domestic travel, the arts, scuba-diving, cooking, and reading. Dr. Stabb is an avid student of Middle-Eastern dance/music, as well as a half-decent Scrabble player.

 
Karin H. Bruckner, M.A., L.P.C., has been in private practice as a licensed professional counselor since 1997, working extensively with women, adolescents, and families in the Dallas area, and specializing in anger issues. Ms. Bruckner received her M.A. from Texas Woman's University in 1995, and holds a B.A. in Drama from the University of Virginia. Her current research interests focus on anger as it relates to sexuality, spirituality and international relations.  

Ms. Bruckner is the mother of three grown children, and along with kiwi husband Brian Smith divides her time between homes in Dallas and New Zealand.
